Additional learning support

At our school, we ensure every student is ready to learn. We support students with disability and additional learning needs so they can take part in all areas of school life. You do not need a formal diagnosis for your child to receive support in a mainstream class. Support can begin at any stage of school.

Support that fits your child's needs

Some students need extra support to feel confident and do their best at school. We work closely with families to make support plans and adjustments  that suits each child’s needs.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students

Our Aboriginal Education Coordinator provides additional support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students across academic, cultural, social, and wellbeing areas. They work closely with families to ensure students have a strong connection to their identity and culture while achieving their learning goals. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students may have a Personalised Learning Pathway (PLP) that outlines individual goals and supports designed in partnership with students, families, and teachers.

English as an Additional Language or Dialect

Our English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D) Teacher supports students who are learning English in addition to their home language. They provide targeted assistance to help students develop their English language skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. The EAL/D Teacher works closely with classroom teachers and families to design programs that build confidence and enable full participation in all areas of school life. This support ensures students can achieve their best academically while maintaining their cultural identity.
